Measuring in maths lessons

Maths measuring !!!

This is Harry and Bella measuring and writing about sizes of feet and hands.

We cut out our hands and feet in paper but they were still crazy sizes.

No one got their real size for their hands but everyone still found it extremely funny and a very nice activity.

This is Tabby drawing round her hand with Mrs Harrold.

It actually seemed quite hard to get the measurement right .It was actually quite easy to get it wrong then.

After some practice there were a lot of a lot of the people who could measure correctly but in centimetres (cm). Nearly everyone got it right (Well sort of anyway.). There were a lot of the same measurements for everyone .There should be an easier way to measure!
This is Louis and Hannah measuring, we had to use rulers and a tape measure. To be measured they have to take their shoes off and keep their arms by their sides .  We had to measure in millimetres (mm) . You could tell if it was mm or cm by looking at the ruler carefully.
We learned a lot about measuring and that you need to do it very carefully to get it right.
